Walking by Faith Missions Church and its ministers are members of many associations and biblical scholar societies. Our church would love to share a little information about these wonderful associations. Please read about each of them below!

Founded in 1942, the National Association of Evangelicals seeks to honor God by connecting and representing evangelical Christians in the United States. It represents more than 45,000 local churches from 40 different denominations and serves a constituency of millions. We seek to influence society for justice and righteousness and gather the many voices of evangelicals together to be more effective for Jesus Christ and his cause. We also provide resources for ministry leaders, pastors, churches, and denominations, and support their ministries with trusted insight.

The Evangelical Theological Society is a professional academic society of biblical and theological scholars, pastors, and students. We serve Jesus Christ and his church by fostering conservative, biblical scholarship. We seek to accomplish this goal through our Annual Meetings, regional meetings, and publications such as our Journal. Our meetings are open to the public and our publications are available for purchase. Older volumes of the Journal are made available freely through our online archive.

Founded in 1974, the Evangelical Philosophical Society (EPS) is an organization of professional scholars devoted to pursuing philosophical excellence in both the church and the academy. Interested laypersons can join as full, associate, or student members. The EPS holds a national meeting each year in conjunction with the conference held by the Evangelical Theological Society and the American Academy of Religion/Society of Biblical Literature, along with regional meetings with the American Philosophical Association.

Our senior pastor's duly ordained status within the Southern Baptist Convention is a testament to his rigorous theological training and commitment to the denomination's doctrinal framework, ensuring he meets the high ministerial standards set forth by the SBC. This ordination process typically involves examinations, evaluations, and a formal ceremony, signifying the church's recognition of his calling and qualifications. Beyond this individual certification, his formal connection to the broader Baptist community is solidified through his relationship with his Sending Church, First Baptist Church of Florence, Oregon. This connection is not merely a historical footnote, but an active partnership that provides ongoing support, accountability, and a network of fellow believers.

Our senior pastor's commitment to ministry extends beyond the local church, as evidenced by his role as a Send Network Trainer for the North American Mission Board (NAMB). This position signifies his expertise and ability to equip church planters and missionaries across North America, contributing directly to NAMB's mission of expanding the Gospel's reach. Further demonstrating his dedication to service, he is also a military-endorsed chaplain through NAMB, providing spiritual support to those serving in the Civil Air Patrol, Air Force Auxillary. These roles highlight his active participation in NAMB's broader network, which supports and connects a diverse body of hardworking ministers dedicated to advancing the Gospel throughout North America.
